I had a friend today ask me why I always wear something black and I told the it was to honor my grandma who died 6 years ago today. She was the most influential person in my life the first person who accepted me as gay and I do not wear black because it is the color of death I wear black because my grandma always wore black I never saw her a day without something black in her wardrobe. She used to tell me all the time.
“Always wear black just in case someone tries to talk to you. That way you can say you are in mourning and they will leave you the hell alone also black is just a color and if people want to judge me on my choice of clothing to hell with them.”
